We provide much more than technical support for our customers. We operate a live 24/7 Helpdesk and ticketing system. We operate our own Network Operations Centre (NOC) with a team of consultants on call, monitoring our system day and night. And our technical team includes a dedicated certified Data Centre Manager with years of experience. 

Reliability

Redundancy has been designed throughout the facility to ensure a highly reliable connection to the internet or to a local access circuit. This includes a minimum of N+1 redundancy in the following areas:

  • Backup power via UPS and natural gas generators
  • Upstream internet connectivity (multi-homed)
  • Clustered core routers and switches
  • Multi-staged, dry-pipe fire suppression system
  • Cooling units - 5 x 25 ton HVAC units with of 125 tons of cooling capacity

Physical Security

  • Heavy gauge wire mesh installed in all walls surrounding the Data Centre
  • All building access points monitored 24/7 - access card and biometric ID are required for entry to the facility
  • Security guard on site 24/7
  • Network Operations Centre staff on site 24/7
  • An array of video monitoring and image capture systems both inside and outside the building

Power & Cooling

  • UPS power provided through multiple modular 80 kW APC UPS units with built in N+1 redundancy
  • 5 x 25 ton HVAC units - equipping the Data Centre with a total of 125 tons of cooling
  • Special heat extraction doors installed on our high density cabinets to remove heat and directly inject it to the air plenum
  • Internal HVAC monitoring systems and floor sensors monitor environmental parameters

Fire Detection & Suppression

  • Advanced fire detection systems directly linked to local fire departments
  • Double lock pre-action fire suppression system
  • Localized dry-pipe two stage water system

Flooring System 

  • Only dual layer interstitial flooring facility available in Toronto
  • Layer 1: Air plenum supplied by HVAC unit
  • Layer 2: Cable chamber completely sealed from air chamber below
  • Ensures dust, debris and dirt do not enter the air plenum
  • Enables effective air direction movement within the Data Centre, increasing cooling efficiencies
  • No pressure loss when lifting floor to complete cabling, maintenance
  • Stainless steel for stability
